How to Use Microsoft Publisher to Make Holiday Cards

Most people have their own personal printers at home but I happen to notice that many of them doesn't even use it in printing holiday cards, so in curiosity I asked many of my friends to why they don't use their printers in their advantage to create and print their own holiday cards. Well, surprisingly, most of them have the same answer, that the printer isn't really the problem but on how they will create the holiday card.

That's why for today's article, I will share you my knowledge on how to do and design your holiday card by using Microsoft Publisher, a publication software that provides its users with templates to help them in creating their own professional newsletter, brochures, book covers and yes, as well as greeting cards.

So how can you use them to make your own holiday cards? Here are the following steps for you to follow:

1. Open the Microsoft Publisher Program. (Start Menu >> All Programs >> Microsoft Office >> Microsoft Publisher)
2. Once it's the window is open, click the "Publication for Print" in the left sidebar. Lists will appear as well as templates located in the larger area of the Microsoft Publisher window.
3. In the list, find the word "Greeting Cards" and click. There you will find a lot of greeting card layouts for you to choose from. Select the card layout you want the most and wait for it to upload.
4. After that, you can now edit the pages of your greeting card, add some images, pictures, colors, shapes and cliparts. You can also put your own messages and some Christmas quotes. Just be creative, and let your ideas flow from your mind through your card.
5. Once you're done, you can now select "Print Preview" and scan your work to make some adjustments or anything else. If you're finally satisfied with your work, you can proceed printing it.
