HP's Eco-Friendly Innovation, The Corn Printer

Solution to the Most Common Inkjet Printer Problem

Inkjet printers are the most common printing machine you can find at home and in offices. Their price, for one, makes them attractive to consumers who want to save money. Another advantage inkjet printers have over laser printers is that they can produce photo-lab quality images comparable to those photographs formed in darkrooms.

Unfortunately though, one of the most common problems users have about inkjet printers is how the ink in their cartridges easily becomes empty. But didn't you know at some point that the ink cartridges you or perhaps your printer didn't recognize may actually not be empty? Yes, don't be surprise. You see, there's a hidden trick or secret, I should say that the big manufacturers wouldn't want their consumers to know about, a trick that caused your printer to process the still not-empty cartridges as empty.

You see almost every ink cartridges are built with a special memory chip or a small circuit board which keeps track of the level of ink within the cartridge, an information that it sends to the printer then onto your computing device to notify you if ever the ink cartridge is already low or empty. However, sometimes, the memory isn't as accurate as it should be, causing the printer to mistakenly read your inkjet cartridges as empty even though they are not. But fret not, because every problem has a solution. All you have to do is to reset the memory chip and how are you going to do that?

Here's how? First locate the memory chip on your ink cartridge, then above it you will see a small reset button, press that button using a paper clip. This will reset the memory chip on the cartridge which will give you a more accurate reading. After that, place your ink cartridge back to its tray and then refresh your computer to check the level of your ink cartridge.

Recycled Printer Cartridges Work of Art

They say it takes "creativity" to create a work of art but I say it takes "creativity" and "real talent" to make a masterpiece out of junks. This is what Faith Pearson had proved after showing to the world, her one-of-a-kind artworks made out of printer cartridges.It all started when a printer inks retailer company in London asked her to create something out of empty ink cartridges to encourage customer in recycling their cartridges.

Here are the pictures of the things she created out of ordinary ink cartridges:

With the use of empty CMYK ink cartridges (probably from Canon looking at its design), she created a replica of what seems to look like the Star Trek Spaceship. I even found the picture which she might have taken the inspiration from.

This one, on the other hand, shows what looks like a hallway inside a spaceship probably in the Star Trek itself or in the Star Wars-inspired galactic spaceship. Although the action figure may look like a more modified and advanced version of RoboCop.

Art Meets Leaked Ink Printer Cartridges

It's messy, it stains and it's irritating! Yes, we get that a lot from leaked ink cartridges. There's nothing worse than seeing those blotch of ink stain on your printer and the thought that it wouldn't function once you feed some paper into its tray. Believe me, I've seen worst!
